Ask Questions

John Chapter 4:1-42
Vs 11“Sir, the woman said “You have nothing to draw with and the well is deep, Where can you get this living water?
Vs 27 “Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, “What do you want?” or “Why are you talking with her?”
Vs 42 “ They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world”

Can we ask God why?, what’s up?, why me?, what are you doing?, how will you see me through this?, do you know how this will also end?, do you still have the plans for my life in front of you?, are you still on my case?, I hope you have not forgotten about me?, did you cause this?…The human mind cannot  find all the answers to life’s issues, and  most of us don’t  ask God questions, we  “humbly” stroll through life and “fa ma nyame”, we leave everything to God
We learnt in Sunday school about Thomas; doubting Thomas! Ha! Can you blame him, the guy needed answers. Most of us have believed in Christ and everything we know as Christians was either learnt from Sunday school days or we heard a Pastor, Prophet or Bishop saying it. By this piece I am only trying to encourage us to get very personal in our walk with God. When I say personal, I mean getting to know him for ourselves and getting to understand him (well we can’t forever follow a God we can NEVER understand, at least it gets to a point where we should understand his character, his faithfulness and his providence)
Job, Abraham, Jabez,  Ruth, Naomi, Rebecca, David, Daniel, Jacob, once upon a time trusted God and asked him questions and in the process of time destinies were changed, wombs were opened, marriages were sealed , misfortunes were turned into fortunes, diseases were healed and mouth of Lions were shut. Bible Stories you may scold, but  Helen Keeler, Kwabena Darko (Darko Farms), Ronald Regan, Abraham Lincoln , Smith Wigglesworth, Ken Ofori Atta (Databank)  are examples of modern day examples of what God can do with lives entrusted into his hands. A friend posted on his facebook wall “With patience you will inherit your promise cos “HE” makes all things beautiful in his own time”
“…the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent takes it by force” Matt 11:12b.Time to pray will not come automatically, it has to be taken by force, time to study the word will not come automatically, it needs to be taken by force, the ability to live in faith will not happen automatically it needs to be taken by force. “Come now, and let us reason together…” Isaiah 1:18. Let’s go back to God, pour out our hearts in prayer and ask all the questions that beat our mind. He can be questioned, question him and trust him to give you answers…But do it with a sense of awe, He is God.
