Do you hear God when He speaks?

  • " And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again. Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him. And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child. Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth" (1 Samuel 3:6-10)

  • "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" (John 10:27)
Do you know the voice of God? Does God speak to you?  When was the last time the Lord spoke to you? When was the last time He gave you direction for your life?
It is very important as Christians we come to a level where we can hear from God speaking to us and giving us directions for our lives. God speaks! This is not a strange phenomenon: If you are a christian, it is your right to hear God speak to you.

"And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left" (Isaiah 30:21)

The voice of God is not a special thing reserved for a few, it is the right of every child to hear from God.  God speaks to us through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit then “forwards” God’s voice to us in various ways.
  •  The Word: "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path" (Psalm 119:105)
  •  Our Spirit (Inner Witness): "The Spirit beareth witness with our Spirit…" (Romans 8:16) "…there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them   understanding." (Job 32:8)
  • Spiritual Leaders "Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you."(Hebrews 13:17), "And the LORD sent Nathan unto David…" (2 Samuel 12:1)
  • Other Christians "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend."(Proverbs 27:17)
  • Visions/Dreams and Prophecies. "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy , your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions" (Joel 2:28)
These are just the most common ways by which the Holy Spirit communicates to us. The list is really tall. Sometimes he even uses animals. Remember Balam and the donkey

In Him

  • In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:4-5)
  • For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:9-10).
  • I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me… the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing (John 15:5).
  • For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring ( Act 17:28).
In Him…In Me…In Whom” are some of the fascinating phrases in scriptures that powerfully describe who we are as believers.
Our identity as believers is in Christ. This is not another psychology or self help theory. Psychology and Self help attempts to deal with the soul—our minds and emotion—but in Christ, the target is our spirit—which is described by Paul as the inner man (the hidden man)—the real us.

We are nothing—absolutely nothing outside of Christ. Our education, our careers, our family backgrounds, our achievements and medals if any are all “sinking sand” without Christ. He clearly and emphatically stated it: “… without me ye can do nothing.”

In Christ our body, soul and spirit are all anchored from the storms of life. We are unmovable, unshakable and grounded in His everlasting love.

We are in for great exploits if we settle our identity with Christ and walk in it.

Emergence of A New Generation

God recently laid it on my heart that He doesn't use one person twice. This practically mean that, for every person on earth, there is ONLY ONE ASSIGNMENT ON EARTH. Every other thing that person does is counted as one and part of that original assignment. This means that if there is a new move of God coming, it has to be with a new set of people. Lets see:

Acts 13:36
For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:

Read also Genesis 15:13-14
13: And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
14: And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

Look closely, verse 13 is the Joseph's generation. verse 14 is the Moses' generation.

Now it is Joseph who led the Israelites into bondage in Egypt, right? He fulfilled verse 13 and Moses too led the Israelites out of bondage right? He fulfilled verse 14 right.

Let me not bore you with lots of explanation, but the point is this, whenever God calls a person, He has only one assignment for that person. ONLY ONE. Not two, not three, not four. Anything a person God is using does, will always be linked to just that one purpose, so He says I dont use people twice. For example, He doesn't start a move or revival with one person, finish and give another assignment. No! Every other assigment is connected to only the one purpose He called a person for.

Joseph took Israel to Egypt (assignment finished), Moses took Israel out of Egypt (assignment finished), Joshua continued to promise Land (assignment finished), judges took over. Fast track forward. David made King over Israel, now David wanted to step into another move of God. God says NO! You are not to build a temple for me, your son will. JESUS! Came to die for our Sins(It is finished), Holy Spirit took over...There is a very interesting Scripture that will illustrate what I am saying. Read Genesis 26:2 "And the LORD appeared unto him[Isaac], and said, Go not down into Egypt...]. Do you see what will have happened if Isaac went to Egypt? Probably Jacob and Esau will be born in Egypt, their descendants will settle and Joseph will not have the opportunity to accomplish his assignment in Genesis 15:13. Hope you have gotten it.

Listen if you hear there is a move of God, it belongs to a new generation...Prepare yourself. Lets come down home. I will choose two men of God. Dr Otabil and Rev. Eastwood Anaba.

ICGC our mission is "...influencing society through Christ" Listen well, ICGC was a new move of God, Central Universitty College is NOT A NEW MOVE OF GOD. It is part of the single agenda of influencing Society through Christ.

Rev Eastwood's Love Revolution is NOT A NEW MOVE OF GOD. The man has been a revivalist since he was called. The love revolution is just a part of his revivalist missiom.

I repeat, the new move or revival about to hit this Land is for a new generation. STEP IN AND BE PART
